Chairman
Mr. Md. Atiquzzaman graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1983 and completed his MBA in Finance from Dhaka University. He has 40+ years of experience in the energy infrastructure sector across various companies under Petrobangla, as well as 3 years in the financial sector at Bangladesh Infrastructure Finance Fund Limited (BIFFL), an enterprise under the Ministry of Finance.
Throughout his career, he served for nearly 7 years as a chief executive, holding roles such as Managing Director of Gas Transmission Company Limited (GTCL), where he was responsible for the implementation, operation, and maintenance of Bangladesh's high-pressure natural gas pipeline infrastructure; Managing Director of Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration & Production Company Limited (BAPEX), overseeing hydrocarbon exploration; and Executive Director & CEO of BIFFL, facilitating Public-Private Partnership (PPP) infrastructure project finance. Currently, he serves as the Chairman of ZTENCO Limited.
Md. Shamsul Alam
Managing Director
Mr. Md. Shamsul Alam graduated in Mechanical Engineering from BUET and has more than 40+ years of experience in the power sector. He has completed numerous feasibility studies — these include the Payra 1320 MW Coal-Fired Power Plant, the Sirajganj 225 MW Dual-Fuel CCPP (3rd Unit), the Madhumati 108 MW HFO-Based Power Plant, and the proposed Munshiganj 600–800 MW Coal-Fired Power Plant.
He has provided Owner's Engineering Services for Sirajganj 68MW and Pabna 64MW Solar PV Power Plants, Madhumati 100 MW HFO-PP, Ghorashal 365 MW CCPP, Balloki 225 MW CCPP (in Pakistan), Konaseema 450 MW CCPP (in India), Kerawalapitiya 300 MW HFO-Fired CCPP (in Sri Lanka), and the Mymensingh 60 MW Gas Turbine-Based Power Plant. His extensive background also includes power plant maintenance services in the Haripur 360 MW CCPP and the Meghnaghat 450 MW CCPP.
